Friends of Nantucket Public Schools is thrilled to host the following events throughout the school year.

Bike-a-Thon

The fall Bike-a-Thon will take place on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Pledge packets are available at each school – or can be requested via email – info@fonps.org. This event is a Sunday-funday opportunity for all members of the school community to come together. As the school year commences, we can make new friends and reconnect with others we haven’t seen over the summer, win prizes and raise money for a good cause!

NES/NIS Dance

This dance is a chance for our littles to come together mid-winter for some much needed, post-holiday excitement. The themed dance takes place at the Nantucket Intermediate School and boasts wonderful raffle prizes donated by our families. The dance is community function where the focus is togetherness and affords parents and kids alike the opportunity to interact in an informal setting and really just have fun.

Holiday House Tour

Join us for Friends of Nantucket Public Schools’ Holiday House Tour, a beloved Stroll Weekend tradition. Step inside some of Nantucket’s most beautiful homes and historic churches, each decorated in festive holiday style. Your ticket covers both days.

Your ticket includes more than just a tour: with each purchase, you’ll also receive admission to the Nantucket Historical Association’s Festival of Trees at the Whaling Museum and the opportunity to enjoy a tower climb at the First Congregational Church, offering stunning views over town. The first 300 tickets sold will also receive a Holiday House Tour tote!
